I poured several months of hard (and fun) labor into this project; this includes planting and maintaining the actual garden (weeds, weeds, weeds...) and over the course of the year doing this ink and colored pencil drawing. Almost all planting is done for this summer. After harvest of the spring crop such as lettuce, kohlrabi and spinach, I will plant the bald spots with more flowers. The butterflies, hummingbirds, bees and other pollinators will appreciate it! We had a very long spring and after eating half a ton of salads, we are ready for the next round of vegetables, and hoping for a good crop of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and much more!
