Luck and Money (Yellow Peony)

"Luck and Money (Yellow Peony)" is an acrylic painting on gallery-wrapped canvas with painted sides, 12 x 12 x 1.5".  Yellow Peonies (paeonia suffruticosa) are tree peonies that bloom in early summer, with silky, gorgeous yellow flowers. The peony in this painting symbolizes luck and money. Like luck and money in real life, the flower is not completely in the picture but a little off-center, with the remaining petals painted on the side, to symbolize dynamics and change. Luck and money may be fleeting, like blooming flowers, but this painting will always be available for the viewer’s enjoyment.
